Balcony Portraits

As part of the photography course I am doing there is a module called ‘People and Place’ which is kind of a mixture of Portraiture, Locations, and the bringing of them together to take better shots of people in specific contexts for potential clients. I have to maintain a learning log/blog which I will keep pretty private but I will sometimes post some of the portrait shots that I like.

It starts off pretty basic, this is just a quick set of 4 shots; face, face and shoulders, face and torso, full body. I was talking to Cass, a friend from here about the exercise and she offered to help, so I took this set of fairly high-key shots on the balcony of my apartment with an interesting final shot, she is much braver than I to sit like that.
