I was wondering what happened. I should read you more often... My wife and I had to go through something similar back in 1993 when we moved to Hungary, total pain in the bum. Bureaucracy is magnified 100 fold out behind the iron curtain and all the former soviet/communist held territories.

The photo project sounds neat, I look forward to it :0)

I didn't realise you were reading my blog, thanks! Not too much I can do about letting them get away with it at the moment, but I am sure at some point the will get theirs ;-)

I am looking at selling to Stock photography websites and/or getting a portfolio site together like the one you have sent the link to. I need to go through all my old shots and select a few of the best ones I think, then submit to Stock photo sites in the first instance!

Don't let them get a way with it. In the mean time take a look at this.http://www.clikpic.com/index.cfm?section=index. Thinking about it you probably know about these sorts of websites already, but it's something I've had bookmarked for 2 years now and still done nothing with. If you believe in yourself someone else out there is bound to agree, go for it!

Well it is corporate Europe, or corporate UK in this case but as it is an American corporation it still applies.

I hope to make the best of this 'opportunity' I have been given ha ha!

Definitely an annoying situation, albeit not shocking considering Corporate America is a spineless and apathetic louse. Regardless, it does create a space for a lot of new possibilities and I think your wife's idea of focusing on your photography is a good one. To quote Thomas Edison, "Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work."
