Firstly…..

Hi all, so I have started this blog as I am about to move to Moscow for a year or so with my wife and I wanted somewhere to record our experiences.  Whilst I have a photoblog (that I rarely update), a technical blog (also rarely update), I wanted a blog about my life and what is going on with it.

So today the whole country seemed to come to a standstill because a small amount of snow fell that we just are not used to dealing with.  I was going to work from home anyway so it made no difference to me, although it meant I could try and get some snow-filled photos during the day, although I managed to do it when the snow fell the hardest.  I will no doubt have to get used to dealing with the snow in Moscow, but Russia will hopefully be much more geared towards the changing weather.

I will blog later about preparations for the move to Moscow.
